John Legend Slams Britney Spears and Demi Lovato

Looks like Duets judge John Legend is following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus once slammed Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber saying you can’t just make a video then become an instant star. But, John took it too far this time.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are about to judge on the hit singing competition, The X Factor and are not just judges, but also popular singers. Britney made familiar songs like Toxic and I Wanna Go, while Demi Lovato has sold over 300,000 Unbroken albums. They are definitely singes if you ask me!

Wake Up! singer-songwriter, John Legend, don’t think they are the singers they say they are. He said to E! a very rude comment about the two celebrity ladies:

“It’s interesting when people, you know, are judging singing competitions when they aren’t really singers,” Legend says.

Ouch! That must of struck a hole in both Britney and Demi’s hearts. Do you think what John said is true?

Selena Gomez and the Scene Sued For $1 Million

Selena Gomez has had a little bit of experience in court. She’s had a middle aged mentally ill stalker follow her around until a restraining order was organized. Now she is the defendant and not the plaintiff.

The Disney star was sued by the band, Luce, including Tom Luce, Brian Kroll, Matt Blackett, and Lawrence Riggs because of the tune of her hit song, A Year Without Rain, was very similar to Luce’s 2005 song, Buy a Dog. They were apparently so mad at the When the Sun Goes Down singer that they sued her for one million dollars.

Selena is not the only one being sued by Luce. Her band has been sued also because of their part in the pop song. Joey Clement, Dane Forrest, Drew Taubenfeld, and Selena Gomez are all officially defendants of this case.

Is Selena Gomez Working On A New Album?

Selena Gomez is on track this 2012 year. She has just wrapped up filming her new movie, Spring Breakers and is now filming a thriller called Aftershock. Her spring clothes for her fashion line, Dream Out Loud, are getting off the racks at Kmart quickly. She is not just a great actress and fashion designer, but a heartfelt person, too. She owns six rescue dogs and the ambassador of UNICEF.

It’s hard to think what else can she do with her busy schedule as a 19-year-old girl? There’s one more thing that she is doing this year. While her closest friends, Justin Bieber (actually her boyfriend) and Demi Lovato are working on music, she is left hanging in the music world. Not for long.

Selena has just announced that she is working on her fourth album. Apparently, this is a special album because this is her first Spanish language album! She is going to be connecting with her roots more this year. She claims she has not been speaking Spanish fluently lately because of her attending school.

Justin Bieber Releases Teaser For ‘Boyfriend’ Music Video

Justin Bieber has had songs like Baby and One Less Lonely Girl that made girls drool over their posters of him. Personally, Justin Bieber is not the guy that makes me drool and I am not a big fan of his music.

Before the Justin Bieber fans protest, I would love to say that his new song, Boyfriend, is a real game-changer for me. Even though the word ‘swaggie’ is included in the song, his song is catchy and quite the party-worthy song to play.

Anyway, this amazing song is now #1 on iTunes, next to Call Me Maybe by Carly Jae Jepsen and What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. This song has been so good to Justin Bieber’s career as a singer, I guess he has decided to drop a music video for us to watch. I think this video preview (it is in a small box that has a YouTube video in it) is good for everybody. The edgier, the Justin Bieber fans (of course) and the people who simply fall into the Other category.

Tickets For A Melbourne One Direction Concert Sold Out In Less Than 3 Minutes

Could any concert ticket frenzy be crazier that it already is? Even though not as popular as Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga or other music legends, One Direction has made itself popular with platinum records for their hit single called What Makes You Beautiful in New Zealand, Sweden, and most importantly Australia.

Today in Melbourne, Australia, ticket scalpers were looking forward to scalping One Direction tickets to see them perform live in concert. Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry, and Louis must feel very good about themselves because the tickets for this Melbourne concert sold out in less than three minutes.

Three minutes! In less than three minutes, fans of One Direction grabbed their tickets quickly, but unfortunately for others, their chances of grabbing those tickets are over.

A 12-year-old fan named Jessica Critchley was saddened by the news of the sold out tickets. She says she has been waiting for ages and ages just to see the British-Irish boy band play music. The tween girl’s mom says that there was no chance for her and her daughter to get tickets, even though they logged onto Ticketek two hours before the tickets went on sale, but it was way too late to try to get the tickets.

Selena Gomez & The Scene Go Their Seperate Ways

Anybody who is a Selena Gomez fan should know she has a band. Who hasn’t heard of the rocking foursome? Selena Gomez established a band named Selena Gomez & The Scene in 2008 in Hollywood, California. The band consists of Selena Gomez and a drummist named Greg Garman, a bassist named Joey Clement, a keyboardist named Dane Forrest, and a guitarist named Ethan Roberts.

Selena Gomez & The Scene have been blooming with fame for four years. The band has won three awards including Choice Music: Love Song (Love You Like A Love Song). Together the four have made three albums, seven singles, and seven music videos and have just ended an amazing South American tour.

Even though very popular,  Selena has decided should go hiatus for awhile. This means they are going on a break for a little while. The former Wizards of Waverly Place star had announced that the band would go their separate ways for a brief time on Facebook.

Selena Gomez & The Scene is on hiatus because Selena wants to focus on filming and acting. Since she is working on starring in movies like Aftershock, Hot Mess, and Spring Breakers that is a smart choice.

Justin Bieber and Drake Recording Song For ‘Believe’ Album

17-year-old Under the Mistletoe performer Justin Bieber is making it really hard not to say that he is not working hard on his songs anymore. Justin has announced in January that he is working on a new album called Believe. And he is working hard to know for sure that he will be an album best-selling artist.

Even though Justin is a rich and famous pop star who is one of the richest celebrities in the world, he probably thinks he needs help to “raise the scores” for his upcoming album.

Today, news broke out that Teen Choice Award-winning rap artist named Drake will collaborate with Baby singer Justin Bieber on his Believe album. Earlier this February month, there was a spreading story about Kesha PROBABLY doing a duet with Justin Bieber on the album, too. Since Kesha is working on her own rock-and-roll album, this is probably just a rumor that is yet to be ended.

Shakira and Miley Cyrus Have A New Duet

Miley Cyrus has a blend of pop and country. Actually, the genre of her songs are mostly pop and country. With dance-flavored songs like Party in the U.S.A and country hits like When I Look At You. On the other hand, Shakira has Spanish hip-shaking songs like Hips Don’t Lie and Waka Waka. Do you think the former Hannah Montana star and the Wizards of Waverly Place guest star could join forces together and write a duet?

The Colombian singer has written a brand new duet with the American pop star. Shakira has made lots of duet. She has made duets with pregnant All the Single Ladies performer, Beyonce and has combined her pretty voice with Alejandro Sanz.

This new duet is not just another song to boost the Hollywood celebrity popularity points. Miley and Shakira’s fresh duet will benefit a charity for children with heart diseases. The song will be first performed at the charity event called Love and Rock.

Demi Lovato Writes Her First Ever Country Song

Demi Lovato has done different characters in television shows and movies. She has played a dumb girl in an episode of the short-lived Nickelodeon show, Just Jordan. Her girly side was found in the Disney Channel original movie, Princess Protection Program. The beautiful voice of Demi’s was discovered in the hit movies, Camp Rock 1 and 2.

She has expressed herself in music. Her latest album came out on September 20 and has become a bestseller with popular songs like Who’s That Boy and Skyscraper.

Her need for discovery led her to changing hairstyle all the time. She recently tweeted a photo of her with long red hair. From black to brown to red, Demi has changed dramatically over the years.

And it is not surprising that Demi has changed her music. It was just revealed that she has written a country song. Born a Texan, her Texas soul has been hidden and has been covered with pop, rock, and R&B songs. I guess she decided it is time to make a splash into a pool of difference again.

The song title has not been revealed, but there is a little proof that she has written a country song. She tweeted: Wrote my first country song today.

Big Time Rush Wants To Record A Song With Demi Lovato

Maybe they have been busy doing a new movie for spring and have released their latest album called Elevate, but the boy band called Big Time Rush are one step ahead now that it is nearing 2012.

19-year-old pop sensation Demi Lovato has made a comeback this year by performing again and relying on herself. Big Time Rush and Demi Lovato have different styles to music, but that doesn’t stop Big Time Rush from trying to collaborate with the former Sonny With A Chance star.

Big Time Rush have heard her newest album with fantastic songs like Skyscraper and Who’s That Boy. When they heard the album, they instantly wanted to do a duet with her. The boy band saw her at Jingle Ball and asked her if they could write and record a song with her. Since Demi is one of the top celebrities of the year, it would also be a smart choice to collaborate with such a great singer.
