19-year-old Unbroken performer Demi Lovato has gone through a lot of trials and tribulations in her life. In late 2010, it was found out that she was cutting and had both eating and bipolar disorders. She was checked into a rehab during when thousands of articles and blogs were posted about it. On March 6, there will be a documentary called Stay Strong about her rough journey. But what will she say about the upcoming documentary, Bully?
Not only did Demi have those problems, but she also had a bullying problem growing up as a kid. The bullying was so bad that she was home schooled with her celebrity buddy, Selena Gomez.
She has taken so much action for this, she is now joining a petition to make the new documentary, Bully, be R-Rated to PG-13. This means that if Bully is going to be R-Rated, then seventeen-year-old and under cannot see the movie, even though during middle and high school most of the bullying happens. Bully has been announced as Rated R because of its strong language.
Katy Butler, a Michigan high school student, has made a petition to make Bully PG-13. Katy needs 200,000 people to sign, but the petition has 15,000 signatures short.
The film Bully follows the lives of kids and teenagers that are being bullied by others.
Are you going to see Bully? Are you the bully or the victim of bullying?
A glamorous dress that YOU’RE wearing. Ultra-famous celebrities all around you, allowing paparazzi to take photos of them. A long red carpet leading to….. the big room where the Oscars will be held. Who wouldn’t be excited? Well, it was supposed to be an exciting night for 19-year-old Miley Cyrus, but it wasn’t. All because of mean Twitter haters…..
On the night of the Oscars on Sunday, Miley Cyrus and her Hunger Games star boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth were attending. This was supposed to be a perfect night for them, but all because of Miley haters, there night was ruined.
We all know that Miley Cyrus is not the kind of girl that would be shy or don’t care about the haters. She responded to one Twitter user, @TheCyrus. The anonymous Miley hater lashed out at The Last Song actress with insults and complaints about her clothes, her smoking and her “role model” actions. @The Cyrus tweeted about how Miley is ugly and hideous and needs to die.
Instead of lashing at the person back, The Hannah Montana sweetheart responded maturely:
“U have nothing better 2 do than hate? That saddens me. I’m surrounded by love Im sorry 4 whatever happened 2 make u so bitter,” wrote Cyrus.
Since the mean comments about her, Miley has complained to Twitter about the haters. Because of her, Twitter has an official policy for no threats, violence, and bullying.
