Miley Cyrus Mocking Selna Gomez

Teen superstar Miley Cyrus is “super sorry” for a video on YouTube in which she and best friend Mandy Jiroux mock fellow Disney Channel stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

“I mean if we offended (Gomez and Lovato), we’re super sorry, but we were, like, just having fun,” Cyrus said in an interview with Popstar! magazine.

Cyrus and Jiroux’s video copied an earlier YouTube video by Gomez and Lovato in a scene-by-scene parody.

“That’s our thing, to be funny,” she said. “They were being funny on their show, and (besides) Elvis says imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so we were, like, imitating them. You know, like, being funny.”

In the video, the singer and actress, 15, and Jiroux, a backup dancer, poke fun at Gomez showing off her Power Rangers T-shirt and laugh at Lovato fixing a gap in her teeth.

“I thought they digitally added that,” said Gomez about the gap. In the video made by Cyrus and Jiroux, the “Hannah Montana” star mocks her, saying “I thought it was like digitizely put on in your piehole.”

After Cyrus’ controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot, some pegged Gomez, star of “The Wizards of Waverly Place,” and Lovato, star of “Camp Rock,” as wholesome role models who could take Cyrus’ place.

Still, the “Hannah Montana” star told “Extra” that “I don’t think there could be a next Miley. I think they should be the next Selena, the next Demi … [and] make their own way.”
